Pan and Egg

Pan and Egg
Well there is a miniature brown jug too. But the jug has appeared before, and not been mentioned. I’m not sure why some wanted it included. I think It looks strange when the other actors are full size.
So this is the still life for today. I think it will be the last for a while.

  1. I would put this up in my kitchen, including that poor pot that really shouldn't really be there, still a little discord sometimes makes you see things more clearly :)

    1. Your kitchen deserves a better painting than this… I didn’t even finish it. look all the white areas left. But it does have certain charm. Even the pot I decided not include in the title is beginning to look okay.
      Thank you

  2. That's one big egg! The little jug must be for the maple syrup.

    1. The egg is the only character in the setting that was a normal size. The pan was small too. I’m sure the small pot once contained maple syrup.. It was probably a sampler, once considered cute.

  3. I really like the little brown jug!
I think the pan and egg would look a bit lonely without it, and the smaller scale makes for interesting viewing.
I like the warm terracotta base too. It adds warmth.:)

    1. Your sentiments were in the majority when setting up this still life. I didn’t see it fitting in. Although, I didn’t complain, then… I guess it didn’t bother me, not enough. I liked the terracotta too.
      Thank you
