Now Hidden

Now Hidden
Islands Off Solitude
Viewing where they’d been before the sighting. Observations have become more discrete. A move by some was made to another island, to regain some privacy.
I’m procrastinating. Maybe tomorrow I’ll paint.

    1. Thank you.
The islands are fine for old dreamers like me . I’m not sure ladies, other than the ones I sketch, would feel as lucky hidden in my vision of solitude. I can’t imagine them actually getting along, for very long.

    1. You are right. One is the right number.
I’m not sure why, but when I start sketching, I have a hard time drawing only one figure, or even two. Even my quest for solitude invites company, defeating the goal for being on the island at all.

  3. Not quite, Lorraine. Me too!!
    This solitude is extremely appealing.
Being under the shade of those trees on a hot day...what more could anyone ask?

    1. Okay now there are three. I have to insist being there too. And then where would we all be? Solitude would be difficult to achieve.
I have to admit, as I do these sketches, I want it both ways. I visualize solitude, but don’t want to experience it alone. In my youth when exploring these islands my thoughts were of escape from the rest of the world. but in my dreams, there was always another with me I wanted to be with. Awe, the conflict sharing solitude causes, even in my head☺

  4. Interesting commentary. I do love the sketch. I see it as movement of one, as if separate moments of one day. Being naked out in nature is so special...like a time warp back to Eden. Solitude is most pleasant hole dreaming about it : )

I do like your interpretation. I see it now. It does resolve the issue of solitude much better than where I was going.
Nude defines freedom to me, something expected in this sort of place.
