Drawing "E"

Drawing “E”
I haven’t been to a life drawing session since the middle of June. I was a little rusty today, drawing “E”.
I drove a long distance to a studio about an hour away out in the country to draw her. I’ve never been before. But I knew almost everyone I was drawing with, and of course “E”. Here are my drawings of her two longer poses.
1st: 11”x 16” pastel pencil on colored pastel paper
2nd: 24”x 18” pastel pencil on colored charcoal paper.

  3. and no I didn't recognise her maybe because her hair, thick covered her face, so the angles were hidden, she had narrow face, it looks fuller here because of the hair

    1. I wasn’t expecting recognition.. It was just information I probably didn’t need to add.

  5. So glad you took that hour-long drive! These are amazing.
I love both poses, they portray such life, such movement. And the hints of sepia accentuate her feminine curves perfectly.
    You are so talented!

    1. It would be nice if the summer studio was closer. I was missing having those I draw with and the models to draw from. The local art center is basically closed over the summer.
      Thank you
