"R" A Few

“R” A Few
He posed for a couple of sessions I attended yesterday. The difference shows in the poses and the time of day. The portrait was in the evening. The difference shows too between ballpoint and a wet brush.

Curious

Curious

Load booms can be so silent
Vibrations ignored in surrounding swells
Years hiding within struggling trees
Barely clinging to dead rocks
Wondering if to pray

Silent booms can be so load
Waves crash in exaggerated storms
Years wasted within frail beliefs
Barely explored to fully grasp
Wondering if to look
Instead

They appeared as I sketched more struggling trees barely clinging to dead rocks.
5.5”x 3.5” ballpoint pen in an almost empty sketch pad.

Returning From the Woods

Returning From the Woods

I’m not sure if they will
Return to us
They appear
Momentarily
Ghosts

I’m not sure if they should
Surrender for us
They flicker
Temporarily
Enticed

It’s been awhile since the initial sketch.
