From Before

From Before

They started showing up
Between more intentional lines
Attempts were made to ignore
To leave the past behind
They started showing up
Daring more now angry lines
Attempts were made to obscure
To hide ghosts from before

The result of time in between procrastination and lazy.

  1. Well I see Janis Joplin playing the guitar would love to know what she's playing is she trying to appease the troops or antagonize them 'cause they don't look happy...the beggar looks miserable the priest still prays and the man in battle gear is just waiting for the right moment, but there's oh so many hidden things...who knows what the aftermath will look like I'd like to know!

  2. Gosh...yes...there IS an aggression in their movement, isn't there?
I feel almost threatened as they inch relentlessly forward...don't think I'll hang around too long! lol

  3. There is definitely anger in this drawing and yet there is a blending in as if to hide this anger...not let it be shown. I would not like to be the center of attraction among this group. I feel as if I would be devoured!

Wonderful art with perfect words, Anthony!!!

    1. I wonder if it’s anger, or just a call not to be ignored, or forgotten. Maybe someday they will leave me alone.
      Thank you

  4. Bonjour,

Des fantômes qui nous entraînent dans leurs danses ... ou tout simplement des lignes qui nous guident vers eux...
    gros bisous
