Portrait of "P"

Portrait of “P”
He was back today for the second week in the same pose, modeling for the Independent Painters Group. So of course I painted him again, this time using acrylics instead of watercolors. I used a smaller canvas too, so I painted only his head.

Boxes in the Wilderness

Boxes in the Wilderness

A few minutes spent earlier this week. Maybe the story will emerge when I get around to attempting the painting.

Listening Now: Main Characters

Listening Now: Main Characters
The two main characters here aren’t satisfied, yet. I watched them complaining within the painting leaning against a wall in my studio.
I don’t do this often enough. I usually start a new painting.

"P" as Dog Man

“P” as Dog Man
And just last week he looked so reserved as an archeologist.
The sketching is from a costumed figure session “P” modeled for yesterday. He was wearing some of his discovered bones.
Okay, I took a lot of liberties when interpreting his pose.

Just Knowing

Just knowing

Once told
of such a place
If there is
If there isn’t

Doesn’t matter
Much
When told

Images can’t help
but appear

Once I knew where they went when they disappeared, of such a place, I can’t help imagining.
