"EL" From Today's Pose

“EL” From Today’s Pose
She’s a model I hadn’t painted before. She posed, off and on, this afternoon, for almost three hours.
16”x 20” acrylic

  1. Bonjour cher Anthony,
La sagesse et un soupçon de tristesse émergent de cette très jolie peinture. J'aime beaucoup l'alliance de vos couleurs.
    Gros bisous ♡

    1. I do enjoy drawing and painting those I’m not met before. So much can be derived from first impressions.
      Thank you

  2. Beautiful portrait, never seen her before, still, through you, she doesn't feel like a stranger, but another human being like me like others, living, loving, suffering, she has a certain vulnerability that she tries to hide, yet you caught it...the colours, I adore...

    1. Thank you. At my age, there are few strangers. This model was so young, so naïve and excited about things that excited reminding me of women I was with at a much young age.

  3. ...and it shows in her face...she does look a little fatigued...but how well you've captured her!
the pose, her skin tone, the way the light falls across her features...is utterly delightful.:)

    1. I think by the end of the session, she was mostly bored. During the breaks, and when the session was over she was quite animated and social with many of the artists in the studio.
      Thank you.
