Against a Little Blue

Against a little Blue
The drawing is from a pose “MU” provided this morning after coming in from the cold. A number of heaters were near by.
24”x 18” pastel on colored paper

  1. I'll bet she was really grateful for those heaters...she does look rather cold...and the blue of the drape, combined with the grey and white, adds considerable weight to that impression.
I can easily imagine her covered in goosebumps!
    The detail is outstanding...:)

    1. It was a cold morning. It took a while for the studio to warm up. The heaters helped a little.
      Thank you

    1. Thank you.
I’m sort of glad the pose ended when it did. With more time I would have taken the blue to far.

  3. Vulnerable out and reserved inside....the smile along with blue show it all . Great revelation!

  4. She protects what is most important while appearing vulnerable. Often needed quality when exposing all.
    Thank you

    1. More the idea of the cold outside, even in a warm studio.
