As Poseidon Again

As Poseidon Again

A few more sketches of “P” from later in the day yesterday. He’s posed as Poseidon before. He made the crown out of fish bones.
Both:9”x 12” fountain pen, oil sanguine and chalk on toned paper

  1. Very good, especially the first one (the brow and the eyes). He strikes a convincing pose, and what a headpiece!

  4. The detail in these is truly amazing...his facial expression in the first one is so God-like, yet full of compassion...and in the second, his pose is powerfully commanding - a fitting tribute so great a character.
He has just emerged from his sea kingdom...his skin glistens wet, and his crown of fish bones is definitely "the icing on the cake!"
    Bravo, Anthony!!

  5. Hah! I love that he made a crown for this. The kind of man who should have his portrait drawn :). I think we become attached to your subjects here!

    1. He is quite an artist, making art from found artists. It is always fun waiting to see what he will come up with for a costumed pose.
