Filling the Hole in the Page

Filling the Hole in the Page

Another sketch of “ST” from a few days ago.
The pose lasted long enough for him to sort of fall back comfortably into the page.
18”x 24” charcoal

  1. It has a vibe, I can't stop looking...the way the body is posed, not particularly beautiful, but completely outstanding, I just stared for a bit, i was awed, I think, wow you charm me everytime Anthony

    1. It does have a vibe, or maybe the portrayal of a certain attitude. If not in a hole I could see him sitting in the “V” of a large tree.
      Thank you

    1. It takes so little time to show depth and drama compared to line..

  3. Yes, he does appear really comfortable...I picture a huge comfy armchair surrounding and supporting his fabulous pose.
This is indeed an arresting pose...there is a kind of "Legendary" feel to it...for some unknown reason, I am put in mind of Native American Indians...:)

    1. We attempted to make him comfortable for the pose. Lots of pillows were placed on the seat covered by the blanket filling in over the hole.
He has great features for the role you suggest. I use his images from life drawing sessions often in illustrations of warrior’s.
