A Familiar Stance

A Familiar Stance

Another sketch of “ST” from a session he posed for yesterday. I have sketched a number of versions of him in this same pose over the years.
16”x 12” pastel on colored paper

  1. I love the use of white here...he appears to be glowing from within.
It is as if he has become determined to fight back yesterday's feelings of hopelessness...and is successfully rising out of his depression.
Oh I need him to stand now, head held high...then I, too, can be at peace! ;)

    Have a Great Day.:))

    1. Thank you. I should have used the dark background and color in more of the sketches for this session with “ST”. I will Look and see if I can find some with him standing head held high.

  2. How interesting to observe the balance between feminine and masculine energy here, in 'ST'...I sense the resolute character in him.

  3. Bonjour cher Anthony,

Un modèle impressionnant et presque théâtral tant sa présence est forte. J'aime la lumière accentuée de blanc sur son corps. Joli travail.

    Gros bisous ♡

    1. “ST” is quite theatrical as a model. He puts so much drama into each pose.
      Thank you

    1. He has this good pose for remembering. I’m not sure the anything actually leaves.
