Final Pose

Final Pose

Will she collapse or stand proud,
as she turns to stone,
guarding the ghosts left behind?

Another quandary delaying getting on with the day.
Top: 24”x 18” ebony graphite on colored paper sketch of “V” in last pose of a recent session.
Others: 11”x 18” ebony graphite and colored pencil on cardstock sketches from images stored for such a scene.

  1. The rawness, it captures a certain mood...timeless moment. Real nice.

  3. I so love the drama of this one, Anthony...the ghosts, huddled together for comfort, desperately need her protection...so she sacrifices herself for them, turning gradually to stone Guardian in their defence.
There is such grace...such beauty...yet...an unmistakable twinge of tragedy here...!
