Morning Gestures

Morning Gestures

Energy expended between moments of silence,
a dance played out in a vacuum,
crowded by too much of you.
Conversations that may/will never happen,
the insignificant fears,
deciding if or not
to endure,
as if there was a choice.

Mornings do start this way. Some recent gesture poses from sessions with “V” and “R”
Both: 24”x 18” ebony graphite

  1. Like your duet of words and sketches....esp. the last lines about choice....I think they did the right choice to pose for you :)

    1. Thank you
Yes, as if by then there was still a choice…

  2. Sometimes when your writing and your sketches hit me hard, right there where every Thing went wrong, and makes me a hermit in an apt building, the hurt somehow is soothed again...by you, real or just ideas they are as real as who I am
I think you're brilliant Anthony, even if I know it's pure chance...

    1. I think we all have these experiences, some more than others.. I wonder too of the moments when such thoughts are seen, when they surface in such images, and then the timing, when we bother to try and understand.
      Thank you

  3. So many choices at the beginning of the day...emerging from sleep, bombarded by decisions...which to choose?
Each option has the potential to take them to very different places. It all has to be weighed up with care...
I love the movement...the almost tangible thoughts swirling around their heads.
I am drawn deeply into their world...needing to understand...:)
