Portrait Without The Horse

Portrait Without the Horse

A sketch of “J” sitting on an imaginary horse from a costumed drawing session yesterday.
12”x 18” ebony graphite and pastel on craft paper

  1. But the strange thing is...I can see the horse...the whole picture, in fact.
Such is your fabulous talent for taking a detail and suggesting so much more...even the wider background.
I see the dressage arena behind her...and the other riders...even the blue sky, dotted with white fluffy clouds...
Oh wow...graphite and pastel are magical in your hands...amazing work! :)))

  2. Like the smile, open face and somewhere...the horse. I feel she loves animals.

    1. I have drawn “J” so many times over the years. This was a first with her imaginary horse.
