Two Views


Sketches of a couple of poses “R” provided this morning at the drop in life drawing session.
1st: 12”x 18” ebony graphite and chalk on craft paper
2nd: 15”x 18” ebony graphite on white..

    1. The various moods acted out in a three hour session. Makes me think I should someday show a sketch of each pose in sequence and see the story the model is consciously or unconsciously presenting.

  2. In the first one, I see him cycling...cycling naked...now that appeals to me.
    Just imagine the feeling of freedom...no trouser legs to get caught in the pedals, or shirt to get filled with air and slow you up. Pure bliss! ;)
    In the second, he has reached his destination...and is catching his breath, while resting on a rock and gazing out to sea. The sun is highlighting the contours of his form and facial features.
