Saturated Pause

Saturated Pause

A morning of bliss,
wet and windy,
blasts of blowing mist.

A showering of hurt,
the liquid chill
of saturated firsts.

A moment of splashing
through old puddles
along beaten paths.

A sketch of “B” from earlier this week.
A bit saturated this morning from a wet windy walk, which
contributed to the text.
12”x 18” ebony graphite, sanguine and chalk on craft paper

  1. 'Text' makes a very nice poem...inspiring sketch...and is there some blue on the right side?...or it's just my blurry vision...

    1. Thank you.
The white chalk over the black left a blue reflection in the photo.

  2. Isn't it strange how water conducts thought and emotion...and here I find myself running the gamut of feelings by proxy!
Yes...water...blissfully swimming on a warm summer's day...tears, falling from invisible hurts...a wind-swept drizzly day, deep in thoughts and memories.
I guess this is what it means to be alive...to experience, like "B", the element of water pervading your entire being...:)

    1. Awe, So you walk in the rain too… Love your comment.. Her expression blended with the morning walk resulted in the words.
      Thank you
