    Ha...he looks too gentle to be a fighter!
    Oh yes, his body is strong...but that beautiful face...so full of compassion...
    If I were a fellow boxer, I would find it almost impossible to throw a punch!
    Guess you may call me sentimental...but to my eyes, this man is for hugging...;))

      He actually trained as a fighter in his younger years. The gloves and head gear reflect that time in his life. I think he was/is too kind and gentle a person though, to have had a successful career as a boxer.

      I was with him. It was expected. He lived a good long 90 years. Happening a week ago. Your poem is wonderful and the timing was just right.
