Yellow Fog

Yellow Fog

This was the second week that “E” modeled in the same pose, in the same costume and in front of the same colored backdrop. Last week I created a place for her to stand. This morning I spent too much time attempting (and in the end failing) to get a likeness. The result was a younger face than she had in the painting I posted of her last Friday. She didn’t complain. And there was only time at the end for some yellow fog to stand in front of.

18”x 24” watercolor, chalk, ink and ebony graphite on cold press.

  1. Classical colors: purple and yellow, nice contrast, she is testing and tested at same time...
