What

WHAT

A quick sketch. The reference photo I’m pretty sure was taken by either her mom or dad.
Still procrastinating.

Too Soon to Complain

Too Soon to Complain

A few more sketches from recent sessions with “BA”. It’s only been about a week since the life drawing sessions I usually attend were interrupted by the Thanksgiving Holiday. Guess it’s not really that long ago. Should probably stop complaining.

In the Bleachers

In the Bleachers

Another grandchild in the arms of his mom, with a few friends.
Still sketching from accumulated reference photos taken by family, and sometimes me.
Avoiding getting back to work on projects. And unable to escape until the end of the week for a session with a live model.

Remote

Remote

A distant translation
being observed unaware,
based on a cropped
photo reference,
by
I don’t know who,
in the hallway of a school
surrounded by those
lucky enough
to be so near.
I replaced them all
with leaves
in a mild case
of jealousy.

Another grandchild sketched in this void, caused by the recent holiday.

In Such a Short Time

In Such a Short Time

Yesterday’s sketch of my oldest grandchild from a reference photo (taken by a teammate’s parent) at a football practice earlier this year. And a sketch I did of him back in 2013 playing soccer. It seems like only a few days ago. Time passes so quickly, it seems, as we both continue to grow.
