Old Newspaper Boy

Old Newspaper Boy

The boy,
now an old man,
up in the night
like all the nights
of a relatively
long life,
distributing
the news.

My sketch from today’s session with “R”.
He posed in a wonderful costume.

A Private Performance

A Private Performance

Preforming after dark
in a favorite private place
before a much older
and wiser audience.

Avoiding another night inside
rehearsing  what death
probably feels like
in a claustrophobic coffin.
.
A small sketch from images of old poses I’ve sketched before, thinking of places such poses might find a way to belong.

Rainbow Enters Forest

Rainbow Enters Forest

A murdered tree
becomes a bridge.
The path into a forest
where another adventure
is about to begin.

The reference photo for this sketch was taken by one of my daughters, of her youngest daughter, beginning another adventure.
