Great illustration for a book. He works in a telegraph office, and doesn't hear the messages coming in. Wakes up and wonders why no one writes or calls. Then drifts off again.
Illustrations by Norman Rockwell come to mind. There were a lot of comments during the session by those of us drawing him in this and other poses, making the comparison. Thank you
For me, he is a Sheriff of the Wild West. It must be an unusually tame frontier town though...maybe Clint Eastwood has already been there and ousted all the bandits! Lol Seriously, though, this is brilliant. There are so many possible interpretations...😊😊
He could be a sheriff, I suppose.. The model’s other carrier is as a magician. So a circus or carnival came to mind. Also he was posing with a sludge hammer in the shorter poses, as maybe one of the workers putting up a tent. Thank you
