Interrupted

Interrupted

Wondering why they were disturbed.
Wondering why they are together,
in these isolated times.

Sketched them together yesterday, though I’m not sure they were ever in the same place, at the same time. Yes, it’s come to this. sketching sketches from life drawing sessions in the past.  Sketched from reference sketches I did in life drawing sessions attended on Sunday afternoons back in 2017 in a small studio down an ally behind a yellow door, in Edinburgh.

Retreat

Retreat

They row away
with the help of my pen.
Ghosts within the islands
appeasing pleas from me,
scare them away.
The invaders retreat
back to their mainland
hell.

An older sketch. Sort of goes with yesterday’s post.

Again

Again

Intruders from the mainland
were on the islands shores
again.
Showed like before
to escape what they
have become
again.

Sketched a while ago. Another time when intruders were spotted on the island shores.

Before

Before

Back before,
when dreaming
seemed easier.

An old prelim sketch from before.

Could Have Waited

Could Have Waited

Could have weathered the storm
safely away from a treacherous shore.
Could have waited for the calm
to navigate through the shoals.
But an arbitrary schedule,
Of course,
was not to be
ignored.

An old prelim sketch to replace words in an unrelated story.
