Platform

Platform

Islands Off solitude
The day was started with this sketch. A memory of rocky platforms on the islands, and yes, the figure, my imagination was working then too. Someone to talk too.
A place to escape.
A place to observe.
A safe place away
From the day to day.

Visitors

Visitors
Islands Off Solitude
I obviously sketched the visitors first. I ended up placing them as strangers on a stage set.
Maybe I fooled them into staying away?

No
Islands Off Solitude
My sketch for today started as a warm up. I’d planned on painting after sketching one or two of them. I started with the guys. When the final figure was added, the story took over.
Maybe I’ll get around to painting in the morning..

Today With "C"

Today With “C”
Today I drove far, far away again, just to draw “C”. Here are a couple of sketches of her.
1st: 18”x 24” sanguine on white paper
2nd: 24”x 18” pastel on colored charcoal paper
