Last  For 2018

“SO”: Tired and Bored
“MX”: Not Today
“RK”: Sort of a Profile
“FE”: Second Thoughts

Well here they are. Tired of the complaints.
Some sketches from various sessions with the models noted, in 2018. Feeling slightly ignored and overlooked they have been waiting to show themselves before the end the year.
All sketches are 9”x 12” ink, oil sanguine and chalk on tinted paper.

Road Warrior

Road Warrior

Another of the earlier cars my Grandfather must have owned. It was noted on the photo as a 1929 Pontiac.
Another sketch based on black and white reference photos from a family album taken by some family member even longer ago than the one I posted yesterday.

Place to stay long ago.
Back when a wilderness
to escape to
wasn’t so far
away.

The black and white reference photo for this sketch was from a family album taken by some family member, way before I was born. Well maybe not “way”.
The caption under the photo noted the car as a 1947 Chevy.

Her.
The island.
A yellow canoe.

The sketch is based on a photo I took  back in the days before I thought about getting old.
Posing with the lovely woman (before she married me) is the rocky shore of a favorite island and the yellow canoe that we paddled there.
