First Island

First Island

A short distance
from the mainland,
easily paddled to
in a yellow canoe.

Was looking at most of my sketches posted on December 25th over the past number of years. They were of my islands, of course.
So yesterday’s sketches included a few of this island without a name, easily paddled to, for so many years, on much warmer days, in my yellow canoe.
9”x 6” ink and watercolors

  1. Oh this is absolutely breathtaking!!
I so want to paddle here too...in my little green kayak (ha, chance would be a fine thing with my present wounds! Lol).
Isn't mental escapism a wonderful thing?!
    Maybe next summer...😊😊

  2. Oh that would be so nice!😉
Yes, healing quite well, thank you. Just some painful swelling where my lymph glands have been removed. Radiotherapy in January...then (hopefully) a gradual return to normal. How I miss my workouts!!
