Awake

Awake

Too much light
in the latest
dark images,
haunting the
usual escape.

Sketch of the last pose “TP” folded into in a session a couple of days ago.

Up And Over

Up And Over

An unfilled desire
as an allusive smoke
settles.

Searched for in the heat
of another empty
day.

Over too soon again
in an artificial evening
light.

Random procrastination sketches. Sketched on scrap paper cut away from sheets of paper too large to fit into the backpack I use for the various drop in life drawing sessions I have been walking to around town over the last couple of months.

Motion

Motion

In the still air
of an imagined
purple fog.
In the silent air
a sense of motion
almost exposed.

Sketch from yesterday’s session with “TP”.

And So

And So

Almost a question,
to be just a little less
careful.
A little less safe.

Almost a challenge
to ignore so many
lines.
A little color instead.

Sort of rare. Wide open interactive eyes and a lasting smile for a fairly long pose.
Sketch in a session with “TP” this morning.

And Smoke

And Smoke

And so wonderful was the smoke in Tennessee Williams “Summer and Smoke”. Had to do the sketch to bring back the evening.
Spent last week in London at a different theatre for four of the five nights. Liked “Summer and Smoke” at the Duke of York best.
