From the Train

From the Train

A village on the North Sea. I’m not sure which one. Sketch is based on a photo reference I took from the train between Edinburgh and London over two weeks ago.
9”x 8” ink and watercolor

Fountain Pen: Platinum Carbon fine point

  1. Wow...this is so visually stunning!!
There is some really beautiful coastline around Scotland. I vividly remember my trip to Sandwood Bay, on the extreme northwest coast of Sutherland. If you ever find yourself in that vicinity...I'd highly recommend a visit. It is the most remote place I have ever visited!
    Such a beautiful watercolour...:))

    1. I will have to look up. We have visited a lot of places on the coast. I wish I was better at remembering all the names.
      Thank you
