Theseus and the Minotaur

A sketch of a few more of my favorite models from yesterday at the Victoria and Albert Museum. These two have been holding this pose since 1782. The sculptor is Antonio Canova.

    Wow...another visually arresting sculpture!
    How I love these...so many stories suggest themselves within this beautiful image...some too painful to even contemplate! 😉
