A Few More of “MA”
These
are some sketches from over a month ago, when “MA” posed for the drawing I did
of her titled “ Still the Queen”. They were all from fairly short poses,
especially the gestures in the middle.
I
was going to just file them away, but they have sort of grown on me, especially
the first, with “MA” sitting with her back to me.

DeleteShe has been modeling most of her life. She still has it. A few of the older artists I have had classes with in the area have beautiful drawings and paintings of her when she was much young.
These are great - each one is stunning on its own, but the middle one, ahhh - such excitement!

DeleteThe gestures are the most fun, I agree..
Thanks
Still the queen. That's awesome. I like the first pose too. She looks solid. It is somehow comforting.
ReplyDeleteYes she is.. I hope I’m doing as well, in now, not so many years..
DeleteI love these!
ReplyDeleteThe first is Motherly and comforting.
The second, yes...so exciting, such fun - like a party in full swing.
The last puts me in mind of the end of the day, and time to relax. This is my personal favourite...so calming...and so to sleep...:)
Thank you
DeleteYour comments almost express what takes place in a typical session with her, except the second, the gestures occur first, than motherly, followed by a short rest. And finally she’ll provide the long pose becoming the queen.
