Gulls
View: Lazy July
Islands
off Solitude
I
was sketching today, lost in my islands, still. They were where I spent most my
July Fourths in younger days.
I’m
obviously sort of still there, on this lazy July days.
Okay,
I was usually alone.
8.5”x
5.5” black and white ballpoint pen on toned grey paper
Wow...I could so easily make up a fourth here today.
ReplyDeleteIt is the hottest day of the year so far...and I'm feeling SO lazy!!!
This is definitely one after my own heart...:)
You are welcome to be one of the three. One could be your avatar☺ the gulls won’t know the difference☺ It was easier when I was younger to spend a day like this. There was so much more time.
DeleteThank you
Again Magnificent is that you there? it could be a man nice built for one, and if is and you've included yourself into this work of art, you're a genius! I just can't get enough of those Islands of Solitude, they pick me up every time somewhere someday there is a place for me, I know it.
ReplyDeleteOne of the figures ended up being a man. The figure started as a woman like the others and just sort of morphed. It’s not often I see myself in my sketches, especially when I have others sharing the sketch with me.
DeleteThe Islands off solitude are there for you now. I visit them in my head, all the time.
Thank you
You have the ability to transport the viewer to another world...well done, Tony.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a nice thought, to be able to have others includes too.
DeleteThank
thank you I,ve made it mine without seeking permission...that is wrong on so many levels one can only be one on the Island of solitude or two????
ReplyDeleteThe choice is yours, one of the great things about viewing art. No permission is necessary, no wrongs.
