One More of "B"

One More of “B”
This was another sketch of her in a short pose from yesterday’s drop in life drawing session. The pose wasn’t long enough for the many lines I tried to capture in here. Her leg needed more attention and I ignored the fabric-covered stool she was leaning against.
I do like the drama though. Maybe someday I’ll revisit this and finish what is missing for the story this deserves.

Placing "B"

Placing “B”
This morning at a drop in life drawing session, I had another chance to draw “B”. I did some sketches of her a couple of weeks ago. For her longer poses (25 Min.) today, I sketched with ballpoint pen on toned grey paper. I also used a little bit of white ink.
For these types of sketches in the past I have used my reference drawings from previous life drawing sessions, or photo references, thinking I needed more time for all the crosshatching.
But I even had enough time in these two poses to place  “B”  in a favorite background,  on my Islands off Solitude.

"R" In Blue, Second Week

“R” in Blue, Second Week

This morning was the second morning “R” posed for the Independent Painters Group. I did a watercolor painting of her last week in the same pose. Today I attempted paining her again, this time with acrylics.

Boxing With "S"

Boxing With “S”

Yesterday in the evening at a costume figure session, “S” showed up to fight with a pair of old gloves.  Battling back, I attempting to capture his poses in graphite.
He posed both as the punisher and the punished, and then of course, for the photo opp.
