Finally made it to this castle near Duddington.
It was sort of an excuse to visit a now favorite inn.
Enjoyed exploring the ruins, pretending to see
those who once lived within as well as maybe
some of those over the centuries who were tourist
like me seeing younger versions of this place
where imagination so easily replaces what
may have once been before everyone moved away.
It’s been a while since my fountain pens didn’t interfere. They’re complaining still, wanting a chance to change this and express what they usually do, to be included too.
