Imaginary Rescue

Imaginary Rescue

Found my sketch of her
drawn one typical cold
rainy winter night
in the dark basement
of a pub in Edinburgh.

She was acting bored
before young artists,
and a few like me,
sipping beer and wine
as we sketched her
posing in the nude.

The other day I rescued her,
placing her with my gulls
on a favorite shore,
not realizing how bored
she’d be in my
imaginary world.

  1. Indeed. But your words are really opposite. Have you found the active posture for her?

    1. Not sure what you mean? I think she was happier sipping beer in the nude..
