In the Round

Model in the round

centered on a stage.

Surrounded.

When the pose goes on,

and on, and on,

too long,

I find myself drawing those

with the obviously

more challenging view.

Touch of Insanity

When Sleep fails,

a touch of insanity

can prevail.

Small usually ignored

voices whisper,

just load enough

to disturb illusions

of being okay.

Yesterday evening I sketched at a second drop in session for the day. Models posed in various spaces in the basement of a pub.

or trapped in the remains

of old spider’s webs but no.

Was standing on a platform

with no props at all.

This morning I sketch with a group I have missed since my last stay in Edinburgh. It was fun to be back. “MR” posed for the group. A model I hadn’t sketched before.
