This
was the second week “R” provided the same pose, still thinking about a life of
trains.
This
week’s medium was acrylic over a sharpie pen sketch. Last week I sketched him
with ink and watercolor.
18”x
24” acrylic on canvas pad

week’s sketch: http://tonyducesart.blogspot.com/2016/03/after-so-many-trains.html
Gosh...this feels like a time-warp...he is still here, still worn out from his long day(s).
ReplyDeleteOr...maybe I have misinterpreted...the bottle of wine...could he just have indulged just a little too much whilst waiting for the next train?
Now I am intrigued...:)
I would like to assume he ends up in this same place at the end of each week, a routine after years taking care of trains with very limited reward.
DeleteSecond week, second bottle... I see the change in his thoughts about a life of trains...sorting out, more assertive about what to let go, what to take with....
ReplyDeleteAs much as I enjoyed painting “R” in this pose, I found the second week even sadder than the first.. A life of dedication with limited reward.
