Portrait of Porcelain Cat
The cat has been hiding for years
behind bottles and bowls,
tea pots and urns,
and numerous vases
filled with dusty
plastic flowers and leaves,
in the studio’s storage room.
Came out of hiding
it seems
to model again,
after years of
pretending to be alive.
Okay, some sort of prop for the
model to sit with for a while.
Sketched the two together
yesterday afternoon in a session with “RO”.
12”x 18” ink and watercolor.
Really, who is more important here? Love everything: the words, the cat and the model!
