Watching Eyes
Watching masked faces,
seeing only staring eyes.
wondering if the artists
are as bored as her.
“SA” was the model again yesterday afternoon in a costumed life drawing/painting session. She has been in the same pose for the last three Fridays to accommodate other doing longer paintings in oil or acrylic. I did a portrait of her in the same pose a couple of weeks ago of just her head. Yesterday I sketched more of her.

ReplyDeleteI wonder if it is just the lockdown...or, perhaps, some deeper sense of dissatisfaction?
Either way, this is SO beautiful...and I love her patterned dress, it makes me feel summery!😊😊
She really was bored, but mostly because she it was the last of three, three-hour sessions over three weeks she had been in the same pose.
