"P" Archeologist

“P” Archeologist
This morning with the Independent Painters Group “P” posed in his archeologist clothing. He actually does dig up bones and things. I sketched him doing so last February. Early this week I did some ink quickie sketches of him. Today it was nice to spend a whole session painting his portrait.

With Children

With Children

I resist the crowd now
I notice
When I am surrounded
When escape is difficult

I embraced the crowd then
I noticed
When for the children
Abundant space emerged

I remember the crowd now
I notice
When need to flee looms
When left again alone

Sketched in some corner avoiding the crowd
3.5”x 6” fountain pen

Listening Now

A meeting with those who disappeared
Islands off Solitude

The painting is loosely based on a doodle sketch posted last June, back when the story was still determining where it was.
