“P”
Archeologist
This
morning with the Independent Painters Group “P” posed in his archeologist clothing.
He actually does dig up bones and things. I sketched him doing so last
February. Early this week I did some ink quickie sketches of him. Today it was
nice to spend a whole session painting his portrait.
18”x
24” watercolor on cold press

Nice; he looks like he is thinking about the next dig.
ReplyDeleteHe does look like he’s ready to do something other than pose☺
DeleteI really like how his eyes are focused...very detail oriented person seems...
ReplyDeleteHe is very in the moment most of the time.
DeleteThank you
Beautiful portrait and you drew him right where he lives, who he IS, wow Anthony so genuine
ReplyDeleteHe does seem to be living at the local art center lately. He’ll be posing again next Monday, Friday and Saturday.
DeleteThank you
Excellent portrait! I like the glasses, the eyes behind, and the beard especially.
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteThe glasses and beard did add to his pose.
He does seem deep in thought...perhaps anticipating that really important find he has always dreamed of?
ReplyDeleteMust be truly amazing to be an archeologist...:)
He had a lot of time to think in this pose of three hours. He did take a break from time to time.
DeleteHis specialty is finding old bones☺
