After Another Mainland Storm
Damaged on the mainland,
always the mainland,
another,
from a cruel
senseless storm.
Another
early morning search to remember an already fading dream.

DeleteI see a new characters here, on the ground, one is looking like a blowing wind, and yes, everyone can be a 'mainland'...
ReplyDeleteYes, the character on the ground, a victim from the cruelty inflicted by the mainland, now washed up on the islands, becoming part of the shore…
DeleteDamage to the Mainland is unfortunate, but there are the islands off Solitudes, oh no what if it would make them move to the islands the Mainland had to be repaired at all cost, don't scare me like that Anthony ;)
ReplyDeleteNot damage to the mainland. Damaged by the mainland… the victims of the mainland cruelty the storms caused. It is these victims, searching for peace, and solitude.
DeleteSo vividly atmospheric...the sense of devastation wrought by a violent storm...the victim lies almost unrecognizable on the shore, far from the sanctuary of the Islands...
ReplyDeleteThank you.. though it is in the islands such victims are welcome as they wash up, to form part of the islands shore.. I know, confusing☺
DeleteLove the tangle of body.

DeleteVery dramatic drawing with such varied lines - along with your words, it makes me go back and look again - really a thoughtful piece!
