On
Top of a Survivor
Where
she often faced the sun
on
a not so old rock shoal.
The
formation of a survivor’s skull,
the
small portion still visible,
just
above the waves.
Where
she often would swim,
seeking
solitude from the rest,
and
a connection with her past.
Her
island within the islands
off
the shores of Solitude.
This
doodles relate to a post from last week titled “Atop a Vanished Warrior”.

The
winter storm eliminated other commitments usually in the way on my Mondays. I should
be writing, a chance to catch up on recent periods of procrastination. The
words continue to hide. It is much easier for me to express what I’m seeing
within the familiar floating clouds, in doodles here by my laptop, as I stare at
this irritating screen.
I'm thinking, the weather will push, inspire you for more words...just keep the pen/pencil close by, Anthony. Interesting idea on sitting on the top of iceberg like island.
ReplyDeleteCool sketch!
The weather is a temporary excuse. All shoveled out now. The usual week began today, be it a day later. The morning and later this afternoon will be in front of a model.. Should be back to the project above by tomorrow morning.

ReplyDeleteThank you. Thanks for visiting too.
DeleteShould be more later in the week..
Very beautiful sketch !!!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day Anthony !!!

DeleteDo what you must...and this one blows me away, even makes me slightly uneasy, and yet I love it like all your Islands Of Solitude...take your time, that kind of talent requires a lull...every now and then, you could put just your name, and i would visit...or put old ones before i knew of you, I'd love that so much
ReplyDeleteYou give me too much lee way to goof off☺ I need to make better use of the time available.. Should have more on the islands later in the week.
DeleteThank you
Oh how wonderful! The Survivor, for me, has just become a God-like being...a Guardian of the Islands, from a long-ago chapter in their history.
ReplyDeleteAnd there she sits today...instinctively knowing she is safe from all harm...:)
The survivors, those who became shoals did once fill the role as guardians of the others, based on where the story has been going so far. She is safe for now☺
