    Such a pity!
    The trees are gone...all is bare where they once grew in abundance...and now the Island is abandoned.
    I wonder why?

      It was in a time just after the lumbering boom on the Great Lakes had destroyed the forests. Fishing became the next big thing. And of course it didn’t take that long before the over abundance of fish went the way of the forests.
