Familiar Chair

And so it rained today.

I watched.

I heard

the rain coming down

outside the studio.

Did so when not sketching,

while she stared straight

ahead

sitting in a very

familiar chair.

Spent the afternoon in a session with “JA” sketching her in a familiar chair. My imagination wasn’t working too well. Couldn’t think of a background, a place for her to sit.
