Seated

Seated

Seated on a stage
facing a familiar crowd.
Complemented for how
infrequently she moves.

Seated in the stage
of drifting far off
to where she has been
or plans to go,
when she can move.

This afternoon I had a chance to sketch “AL” in a familiar pose seated on a stage. I was thinking she probably has more time to sit around contemplating her world than any one in the crowd she was posing for.
12”x 18” ink and watercolor

Fountain Pen: Platinum Carbon fine point

  1. I agree...she definitely has much more time to think than any of you who are observing and sketching her!
Such a stunning sketch, with a marvelous photographic quality!😊😊
