Shoulder View and Almost Dead
He
posed today for the drop in life drawing session I attend on Saturdays.
After
providing some shoulder and back poses, he spent the last hour of the session
on his back. He was on his back for way to long. I had time
to place him in the islands. I had time at the end to do a quick sketch in ink
of him almost dead.
1st:
11”x 14” ballpoint pen on toned grey paper
2nd:
24”x 18” pastel on colored charcoal paper
3rd:
14”x 11” ballpoint pen on toned grey paper
I love the frontal one best , although they are all excellent but the frontal, you can see the Islands of Solitudes, and there I would like on my back as well and never ever leave
ReplyDeletecomments playing with me anyhoo third one favourite laying down on the Islands of Solitudes as good as it gets
ReplyDeleteToo much time leads back to the same backdrop: the islands. On my back or drawing them from memory, I’d rather be there too.

Yes, these are very good.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the centre one too. The Islands of Solitude in the background put me in mind of a glorious sunny day.
I would happily strip off and join him there...LOL:D
If only I had known.. The boats in the distance are a poor substitute☺
