  1. You're so good with colors and shading. That could be two of my sisters walking home. Really. How'd you know what they looked like?

    1. Thank you
The reference for the painting was a photo of sisters, from my daughter of two of her daughters.

  2. Very sweet and precious, Anthony. I can remember when I would walk home from school with my younger sisters...this Ink and Watercolor reminds me of those long ago days.

I love the long shadows...they give this love painting more depth.

  3. Very nice. This one has bolder lines with colours and works very nicely. The first piece of art I ever sold was of two boys walking a street:) Je te souhaite une bien joyeuse nouvelle année, Anthony...

    1. Thank you.
I was trying to remember the first art I ever sold.. The subject was far less interesting.. It was a cooking pot sitting on a red shawl..
Wishing you a Happy New Year two☺

  4. This wonderful sketch evokes in me a longing for bygone times...the innocence of childhood...a time before I existed...the world of an antique story book.
I love those long shadows too...they give me a sense of the freedom I used to feel at the end of a school day!
Oh to be there again for a single moment...:)

    Happy new Year

    1. I have been experimenting with ink sketches for a while now, attempting that look I remember in old books. Using these two sisters, (grandkids) helped.
I think you were there for longer than a moment☺ I went back too.
Thank you and Happy New Year..

    1. These are two of my oldest daughters girls.. They are a little over two years apart in age.
And older sister to walk with, I envy you… I was the oldest. It would have been nice not to have to walk alone.
I hope 2014 is a great year for you too… I’m guess it will be.
      Happy New Year

  7. This is on the street we take multiple times everyday to get to the village of our neighborhood, the schools, the library, and to meet our friends at the playground. Love this painting!
