Playing
in the Dark
I
was warming (playing) with a new calligraphy pen and wide felt tip before going
back to working this afternoon on a larger painting.
I
soon had the cover for a story that doesn’t need to be told.
8”x
11” ink and chalk on back of copy paper rescued from the trash.
Very cool graphic! So spacious strokes! And black background looks like a good contrast.

DeleteI should hope so, really Anthony these are wonderful lines that shape a beautiful woman, should never ever be thrown in the garbage, rough day? Although in a way, it makes it more exciting, she almost didn't exist for us...that's a cool story and a great sketch from the garbage bin, lol it's kinda cool
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThe drawing wasn’t thrown in the trash. It was the paper I sketched this on that I pulled from the trash. On the other side is a page of typing with a lot of red editing comments, a completely different story then the story playing in the dark on the other side☺
Oh I get it now and yet it's still as exciting, red editing comments....you write so well as well, lol you should show it show the reverse, what your creation looks like combined with all those red editing comments, i would love to see it....
DeleteSo glad you pulled it from the trash...would've been a great loss if you hadn't.
ReplyDeleteThe story playing on this side is incredibly intriguing. I beg to differ, it does need to be told...;)
She is a star, shining in the dark...awaiting discovery...
The sketch might have made it on to a better piece of paper☺
DeleteIt reminded me of a frame from a comic strip. The story to be told now has a good start.. Now for the other frames☺
