Interesting title...for a fascinating sketch. At first I thought these were the Islands' fishermen returning with their catch at dusk, and thought: Aah...fresh fish...so delicious and nutritious - oops! Sorry Nemo and Freddy (my pet goldfish)! *rather guilty smiles*
Your understanding isn’t that far off. The fish camp was a place set up within the islands to drop off the catch for processing and lodge at night. Larger boats would take the fish back to the mainland, or so the story goes☺
The sketches, paintings and sometimes the writing I post on this site express what needs to be known about me. I attempt to record on a daily basis what I observe, what I imagine, and sometimes what I dream about.
I hope you enjoy my art, and the dialogue.

I love it, especially when i feel it , ah those Islands of Solitudes have given me so much...You have given me so much, thank you
ReplyDeleteThey were temporary intruders, long ago. Only the ruins remain. They are ignored by those escaping to the islands for the solitude.
