Exploring
Some not so short warm up
sketches of a model from way back in June, when still in Edinburgh. Seems like
a lifetime ago. Can’t remember her name.
Was surprised waking up this
morning realizing it’s already November.

I really enjoyed your Edinburgh trip and the art you posted during that time. For a while, I was wondering if you’d gone there to stay.
ReplyDeleteThank you.. There were so many places and programs in the city to draw from life. Living in Edinburgh would be great. If only I could. It was a wonderful place to spend the first six months of this year.
Delete...and June is feeling here very well, so nice to see it now, when outside just dampness and cold...
ReplyDeleteYes, good memories of June.. Memories are a gift for days like this. Raining and cold here too.
DeleteI know exactly what you mean about the passing of time...this year has flashed by for me too. It's almost Christmas again already!
ReplyDeleteYour trip to Edinburgh is fascinating to me. I have never visited the city myself, have only passed by on my way to Cape Wrath and to visit relatives in Aberdeen. Will definitely have to go there someday!
Sorry, I'm digressing!
The "Exploring" aspect is intriguing...and the movement from prone to standing tall.
Perhaps there is some inner dialogue going on here...and maybe a touch of conflict.
One part of her seems to want to turn away...while another appears defiant...then in between, is indecision.
Yes, very intriguing...:))
It has been for the most part, and exciting year. Guess the exciting ones go faster. It had some sad times too.. Maybe it’s the combination, or just life in general after many years.
DeleteI did enjoy Edinburgh.. So much to see and do.
I titled this based on the poses, deciding she looked as if she was exploring, finding herself. I’m beginning to run out of titles. I think it’s the reason I didn’t post this earlier. couldn’t think of a title until now.
