Purple Rock
A blanket over cushions, of
course, became a comfortable rock. Same old theme. Would have placed her on a
table in a bar. If only I had had more time.. Or maybe I should have drawn in
the rest of the studio behind her, placing her where she was?
Anyway, this is my sketch of “D”
in a session with her last week. “D” is
one of the few models I regularly sketch that maintains a smile throughout most
of her poses.

I definitely think you made the right choice...placing her on the rocks...gave us a sense of summer in the cold of November!

Have to find another theme though. Every time the model reclines onto pillows on the stage, the distant shore too easily appears behind.
